Shades of Blue
Shades of Blue began as a way to befriend sadness rather than resist it. I came to see this emotion as a tender guest, deserving care and attention. The color blue—fluid, strong, and melancholic—became my anchor for exploring grief with softness and reverence.
The series features full-figure portraits against abstract backdrops—florals, brushstrokes, and shapes—painted in varying blues. What began with my own body now expands to include diverse feminine forms, becoming a collective tribute to resilience, vulnerability, and grace.
At its core, Shades of Blue is a reflection on feeling deeply, honoring emotion as sacred, and creating art in dialogue with the unknown.
